Prof Martin Vorster
Prof Martin Vorster graduated as a dentist from the University of Pretoria in 2003. He began his career in private practice until 2014. In that year, he embarked on a new chapter by accepting a full-time joint position at the University of Pretoria and Gauteng Health. In 2015, he completed a postgraduate diploma in Endodontics with distinction, followed by the successful attainment of an MSc(Dent) (Cum Laude) in 2017. In 2021 Prof Vorster completed his PhD, marking a significant milestone in his career.
Throughout his professional trajectory, Prof Vorster has been actively engaged in academic and scientific discourse. He has presented his research findings both nationally and internationally, with a particular focus on the intricacies of endodontics. Additionally, Prof Vorster has contributed to over 50 scientific publications to date.
Recently, he made a transition to Cape Town, where he has returned to private practice while maintaining a part-time appointment as an adjunct professor at the University of Pretoria and part-time clinical training supervisor at UWC. This dual role allows him to continue his dedication to patient care while also imparting his knowledge and experience to the next generation of dental professionals.
